Spring Has Sprung

Meredith and I have been walking every day this week at least once a day and have been more then once several days. I has been incredibly nice this week. I took a few pictures yesterday while we were at the park. We stopped by the pool to stick out feet in well really only i stuck my feet in but we wanted to know how cold it was so we can think about using it here soon! That is if they ever clean it. Right now i would not go in even if it was warm enough. We also have planted vines along the back fence and have been helping Daddy stain the TV cabinet! All this outside time should be helping make Meredith more tired for her naps but it seems to be doing the opposite. oh well. At least she is happy to be outside!

Question?

As many of you know Mama puts me in cloth diapers. I rather enjoy my little bum being chemical free and enjoy the feeling of softness against my dum de dump but really and truly they make my butt look big?!? don't you think? Over all Mama says i will get over it and that i am blessed with Daddy's build thus far so i have not much to worry about but it makes me a little self conscious when around other babies who have slim trim bums.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from San Antonio, TX! Nothing says "Happy Easter" better than a smiling, happy baby early in the morning!

My Mom, Dad, and I went to the sunrise service (sans sunrise) at church early this morning and now I'm just happy as can be. Good thing I'm an early riser, or I might have been mad.

Mommy really wanted a picture of me in my new pink dress from Grandma Kathy, so here it is. The weather outside is a bit cool and cloudy, so I think I'll have to go inside now.

See everyone later!

Are You a Dog?!

Hmmm just what are you?

Mama says you are the Easter Bunny. I learned this past weekend about how Easter is all about new life...but how does this bunny thing fit into new life...I think that I missed that part. For now though I think that I will just treat you like a dog -- see I can already pet you!

Dad, Gilligan took my ball!

I want my ball back! Why does he get to roll around on the ground with my new ball. I just can't seem to get him to take back his old ball. All my tactics from teaching bartering to trying to make him jealous of his old ball just aren't working. Maybe if I try my scrunched and huffy sound face?

Monkey see, monkey do

During the time Meredith tried to get her green ball back from Gilligan, she thought she would try out the mirroring technique to increase the trust between Gill and her... or something like that.

And so comes the title of this post. Meredith and Gilligan holding onto each other's toy balls in their mouths. Meredith sure loves her puppies!

By the way... I've posted some new pictures of Meredith playing with Gilligan and a couple of Meredith with the Easter Bunny on Meredith's 4-6 months Picasa web page.

Let's Trade!

So my Grandma and Grandpa noticed that I liked Gilligan's red ball and sent me one of my own! Problem is silly Gilligan thought the new green ball would be great to play with too. :(

I thought I would try and teach Gilligan a new concept -- trading. So I asked him, "I'll give you your red ball back if you give me my green ball."

Why do you think he wouldn't give me my ball back?

Didn't you learn the last time?

So before Mollie was able to take the pictures in the last two posts this morning, we tried to get Meredith to roll over and/or get up on her knees last night. Let's just say she played along just like she did the last time we tried to stage a rolling event (see To Roll Over, or Not to Roll Over...).

This is just a quick post to show off one of Meredith's greatest attributes -- stubbornness.

Rock and Roll

As I said last time I am working on wrapping my little mind around moving! This week I have had a BREAK THROUGH! I have gotten myself up on all fours and started ROCKING! I also have FINALLY learned to ROLL from my back to my tummy! I enjoy these new things! I have even started to bounce in Mama's or Daddy's arms or while in the sling. I just want to get going!

Texas Showdown

Howdy all! To play off of the NY Times headline on election day here in TX mommy made me pick the title we did! My favorite toy is Gilligan's ball! I know that Daddy showed you a picture Gilligan trying to keep his ball from me. Well this is the rematch! I am working hard to learn this whole moving thing! Stay tuned for new and exciting posts! You must know the first picture is me staring at Gilly and working on wrapping my mind around moving.

When the cat's away...

All the babies and puppies play! Well, at least Gilligan and Meredith play...

Sunday nights Mollie helps out at church by leading a group of 8th and 9th graders for Confirmation, which means it's Daddy/Daughter night here in San Antonio! But there's also two dogs, that makes it Daddy, Daughter, and puppies night. And ever since the pediatrician prescribed some medicine for Meredith to help calm down acid reflux, Meredith has been much more happy with Daddy alone.

So here's the proof! Meredith really wants to get Gilligan's ball, but he seems to be guarding it too closely right now. I wonder if she'll get it? Check out the latest pictures posted on Meredith's 4-6 Months Picasa web site to find out... I'll give you a hint -- Meredith can't crawl quite yet. ;(
