Looth Tooth

I have a looth tooth, I mean loose tooth! The omniscient (loose teeth gives you great knowledge and vocabulary) internet says some kids start losing teeth at age 4. Girls tend to lose their teeth before boys. Kids that get their teeth early tend to lose their teeth earlier. I guess that makes it okay for me to have a loose tooth at 4 and a half years!

Theo wants a loose tooth, but he's too young!

Emmaline is worried because she is still getting her teeth, and she didn't realize she would have to lose them too!

Christmas Ornament Craft Night!

Tonight we made Christmas Ornaments!

I made an angel and a Santa (not pictured).

Theo, Emmaline, and Mama made a Santa and a Christmas Tree.

Now we have more ornaments for our tree! I can't wait to find out what we do tomorrow!

Today we all put up our Christmas tree for Advent. Mama and Daddy say we'll have to take it down and put it back up in our new house before Christmas, but what would Christmas be without a tree?

Theo helped put up ornaments.

And so did Meredith. She put them up as high as she could reach!

I'm so excited for Christmas to come! Can it be tomorrow? This Advent waiting thing is going to be hard!

A candle of Hope

Today we start Advent. This year Mollie put together activities to do with the kids each day of advent. Some are simple, some are silly, hopefully all will help teach something about Advent.

Today we used a Sunday School activity -- decorating a yule log Advent "wreath." Tonight before dinner we lit the first candle and talked about how Advent is about waiting... for Jesus to be born. We talked about waiting for things, like for our presents, for moving into our new house, and of course for Jesus our Savior.

I hope each day to take pictures of what we do so everyone can experience Advent with us too. Visit every day to see what the kids did that day!

Sneak Preview

Yesterday we went to a park and Daddy took our pictures. Something about a card that Mama and Daddy will mail out to a bunch of people.

I just liked that I could wear some bling! (I really like necklaces lately.)

Theo got to smile in his candy cane wreath.

And Meredith LOVED her flower wreath. She almost couldn't wait to take this picture while we were taking the walking picture.

Thank you Mama for making the wreaths and thank you Daddy for taking our pictures!

It is SNOWING!!!

Today it snowed outside. There was enough snow for us to go outside and play!

Theo came outside and played too. He tried throwing a snowball at Daddy while he was taking pictures.

Mama and Gilligan came out and played too. Emmaline was sleeping inside :( Maybe next time she can come out and play too?

I LOVE Daddy's Pumpkin Pie!

Daddy made too much pie filling to put in his pie. Well, that's just too bad ;) He made "personal" pies in small dishes with the extra filling.

I got to eat my own personal pumpkin pie! And I LOVED it!

Halloween... BUGS! (better late than never)

This year's Halloween costume theme was bugs. I was a ladybug.

Meredith Jane was a ladybug too. And Theo was a bumble bee.

We all went trick-or-treating and had a GREAT time!

A while ago we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. I didn't really get what we were doing then, but yesterday my Mama and Daddy finally filled me in on the secret.

We're going to take pictures of the pumpkins (well, so that still doesn't make much sense).

Meredith loves her big pumpkin (but Mama's is bigger in the background).

Theo picked one he could carry by himself.

Mama wanted a cat, moon, and stars. We picked out an owl for me, Theo wanted a spider (though last year's was friendlier with a smiley face), and Meredith wanted Swiper the Fox from Dora the Explorer. Thanks Daddy for carving out our pumpkins (you are awfully handy with your Dremel)!We also had to take the requisite glowing jack-o-lantern pictures:

Of course we'll be taking pictures of all us kiddos in our costumes tomorrow when we go out trick-or-treating!

When the Mama's Away...

All the kids make muffins! Mama went to visit her sister and our new baby cousin last weekend. That means we got three-on-one time with Daddy for a three-day weekend. What FUN!

We even made butternut squash and applesauce muffins. Theo LOVED them (he ate them like they were going out of style). I liked them. Emmaline liked them too!

Bill's Berry Farm (a.k.a. "The Pumpkin Patch")

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday. Really, it was a farm that grows blueberries, cherries, apples, pumpkins, and corn. But who's counting, anyway?

Meredith got to ride a pony!

So did Theo!

All our friends rode on the ponies too, and the hay ride to pick apples and pumpkins.

I rode on Mama's back... Hopefully I get to ride on them by myself soon too!

Meredith and her friend Zachary picked a pumpkin.

Theo decided to pick one he could hold on to this time.Daddy got some sugar pie pumpkins for pumpkin pies. He says that they will be yummy, but no pictures of those :(

I'm one for real this time. My birthday was on Thursday and we had a party with a bunch of our friends on Friday. We had a blast!!

At first, I didn't want to let Mama put on my dress...

I wanted to play instead!

Later, after playing with my friends, I tried to blow out my candle. My Mama had to help me out.

I LOVE cake!

I'm going to turn one year old this week. Do you know what I've done in a year? I've eaten, slept, cried, crawled, walked, and did the other necessary things for a baby to do.

But I'm not really a baby anymore. See... I can stand and I'm walking!

And I'm swinging (with some pushes from my sister behind me)!

And I'm serious (what is that over there?).

And of course I'm happy (and walking to my Daddy!)

I'm four (and a month)

So I turned four last month in August. My Mama wanted Daddy to have a "photo shoot" of me when I'm four. It took us a little while, but we got it done. And I got to play at the same time!

I wanted to go to the "big red park." Does this park look red to you? Mama and Daddy said this park was less busy... something about a race at the other park.

Today I learned how to ride on the "zip line" at the park all by myself (well, almost because my Mama had to help me off at the end).

It takes a lot of concentration! And the tongue helps my balance. I promise! Don't knock it until you try it!
