I LOVE Walking!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Can you tell?

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Daddy, you better remember these times because they won't be happening for much longer!

Walking, just keep walking...

You could create a photo flip-book! I'm getting ready to walk away from my Mama and Daddy here any day now. I just haven't worked up the nerve to do it yet!

I'll even walk fast if I have two hands to hold on to. And I can walk with one hand with my Mama or Daddy and the other with my big sister!

Gardening

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

This winter we had a couple of "hard" freezes that killed off our plants in front of our house. So Mama has found new plants that are native to Texas... hopefully if it gets cold like that again they won't freeze and die!

I like helping my Mama dig and put in the plants. I especially like watering...

... the rocks!

Parrot

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

I am a little toddler parrot. I say most anything I hear. I even do most anything I see. Can you tell where I got the idea to sit down? I think parroting is a great way to learn. I learn new words and new things to do. Like today when I said, "Hey babe, can you bring down Theo's pants?" Who is "babe?" Daddy ended up bringing down the pants. I think Mama is confused who lives in the house. It must be that prego-brain thing... ;)

Say CHEESE!

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

I like pictures...

... of me! Here you see me dressed up in my tutu hounding my Mama to take a picture of me. It is one of my favorite pastimes.

Story Time with Daddy

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

I sure love my sister and Daddy! We've been able to read all kinds of books with each other. We all pile up in the chair, curl up under a blanket, and read! Along the way, my sister gives me kisses and tells me about these things called "abcs" and "numbers." Fun is had by all!

Cookies!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Wait!! Breaking news!! I like cookies! Yesterday my Mama let me try a new kind of cookie -- she called it an Oreo. I got two chocolate cookies in one. How awesome is that! I forgot to chew though, and basically let the cookie dissolve. Then I proceded to make a mess!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Oh no! How am I going to clean all this up?! It is all over my face, in my hair and my ears, on my hands and arms, and even all over my clothes! My Mama is threatening to just give me a bath! I don't want that!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Wait, I think I've got it! I'll just ask for more! Then I won't have to get up and be cleaned off!

Look Mama, One Hand!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

You better watch out! My crawling days are numbered. I used to walk around with Mama or Daddy holding onto both of my hands, but now I can walk around with just one. And I'm starting to get up on all fours, like I'm trying to stand up on my own. Here's to walking around and eventually chasing my sister (and dog)!

Extra Credit

From Theodore Elial 9 Month Birthday

Hahahaha! Hey look, my Mama and Daddy thought they could make up being slow with my 9 month pictures by creating a new banner for the blog!

About time... those pictures were getting old ;) After all, I'm starting to walk holding onto only one hand!

Ahhh... I love cuddle time with Mama!

Eat your heart out...

From Theodore Elial 9 Month Birthday

Well, my Mama and Daddy finally finished their job. They sorted through over 600 pictures my Daddy took for my 9 month birthday and kept the ones they liked best. You can find all of the pictures here.

Silly Mama and Daddy, maybe next time they can be a little quicker!

The photo feast to come...

From Theodore Elial 9 Month Birthday

Early last month, my Mama and Daddy brought me to this great park to take my 9 month pictures. Now that I'm 10 months old, I thought I'd get on their case to put them up on the blog and in a web album (yeah, it has taken them a while).

This post is to say that they are (finally) working on it! Soon you'll see more pictures of cute and cuddly me! :)

Can you help encourage them to get moving?

Tired

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Is it time for bed yet, Daddy? Can you stop taking pictures and lay me down in my crib now? Please??

Does a Cow Say Boo?

My Papa reads books like a pro! He even makes all the animal sounds when it is in the story!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

Here we are reading my favorite book, "Does a Cow Say Boo?" I'm making sure Papa stays on the right page by pointing out where we are.

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

When the book says what sounds an animal makes, my Papa tried to be as real as possible. I especially liked the dogs and owl. Can you see how much I liked it through my plug? There's a big smile under there, I promise!

I Love You, Papa!

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

My Papa is the bestest! He plays with me and reads me books. What else could a ten month old kiddo ask for?

From Theodore Elial 10-12 Months

He helps me stack blocks.

And spin tops!!

Music

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

I like music! I like listening to music on the radio and on CDs. I like playing the piano with my Daddy. I also like playing with my musical toys, like this recorder (even Theo can blow into the recorder and make sounds!). I even have my own band set -- a drum, xylophone, bells, shakers, tambourine, and kazoos! What great fun!

Leaves!

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

Here in Texas it stays warm most of the winter (though some sleet fell just last week). Here I am passing the time playing with last fall's leaves. Aren't leaves great?

I miss you, Grandma and Papa!

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

My Grandma and Papa came to visit a lot this last month. Something about getting out of the snow (what is snow?). Here I am keeping occupied with my Grandma while Theo was getting his 9 month pictures taken (more on that later, his turn is next on the computer). Can you tell what color is on my shoes??

That's a trick question, as I'm signing the color -- GREEN!

From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

Swinging with Grandma and Papa (in front of me, but out of the picture) is so much fun!

How to Play Peek-a-Boo in 5 Easy Steps!

My Grandma Ruth is the bestest! She and Papa were here for the last month and they came to our house a lot. I loved it! I would get so excited when they came; it was so much fun!

To show you how much fun we had, I wanted to share with all of you how to play peek-a-boo, just in case you weren't aware. Here are five easy steps to follow:

1. Start by pulling your favorite blankie over Grandma's head.
From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

2. Make sure to pull the blankie all the way over her head, so she cannot see you (that is the point of peek-a-boo, after all).
From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

3. Keep pulling...
From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

4. Wait... the best part of this game is the element of surprise!
From Meredith Jane 28-30 Months

5. Pull off the blankie, and say "Peek-a-boo, I see you!"
