Sleep

Christmas time is one of the busiest of the year. Now imagine being a kid running around and playing during this busy time. Here is what will happen:

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

You may fall asleep again on the couch minutes after waking up from your nap.

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

You may fall asleep in the car while watching the local Senske Christmas light display and then stay asleep through the whole Christmas service at church -- on the floor!

Blue

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

The Three Rivers Children's Museum sure is a lot of fun! They have this dress up area where you can be a princess or even your favorite children's show character. Today I decided to dress up as Blue from Blue's Clues!

Learning to Drive

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

We went to the Three Rivers Children's Museum on Thursday. It was a lot of fun! There were plenty of things and other kids to play with. Here I'm trying to drive the ambulance.

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Maybe I can try driving the school bus?

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Everyone get on the bus, we're getting ready to go!

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Maybe I'll stick with driving toy trucks.

My First Christmas

From Christmas 2010
This is all a bit overwhelming. What is going on, anyway?

I got this thing called a Billibo. Meredith says I'm going to love it -- and that I should ask Daddy to spin me in it.

My favorite position of the day. I got held by Grandma, Patoo, and slept in Daddy's arms for two hours!

Christmas is here!

From Christmas 2010

Do I get to open these boxes myself?

From Christmas 2010

Playdough! And Sesame Street? How great is this!

From Christmas 2010

Meredith, that's my toy!

From Christmas 2010

Wait, you mean I can make Cookie Monster out of playdough?

From Christmas 2010

I sure like all of my new toys and clothes. I'm not sure I have a favorite. I like them all!

Merry Christmas!

From Christmas 2010

Santa delivered a bunch of presents last night from my family. This is going to be exciting!

From Christmas 2010

First, let's see what is in our stockings.

From Christmas 2010

Gilligan got a full stocking too! He's begging for someone to take it off of the table.

From Christmas 2010

New waterproof mittens! I hope it snows again!

From Christmas 2010

I sure like my new scooter! I even helped Daddy put it together.

Sledding!

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

It snowed again yesterday morning -- and even though it was warm, stayed cold enough for the snow to not all melt! There may not have been a lot of snow, but today we still all went sledding (even Emmaline went down once with Mama).

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Don't worry... Daddy got to go sledding too!

Going down the hill is only part of sledding. You also have to climb back up the hill. Or if you are so excited about sledding again, you run up the hill!

Theo had a harder time running in his snow pants. So he walked up the hill instead.

Want Some?

we rearranged some of my toys today. Emmaline napping in her room/playroom sure does put a damper on my ability to play! So Mama helped us out and we now have toys out in the living room. today I enjoyed a picnic with Blake and Becca.

Eggplant?

ice cream and eggplant? what more could you want in a picnic?
From Meredith Jane 3 Years

I Love My Little Sister Emmaline!

From Meredith Jane 3 Years
I tell this to Mama at least once a day! I love to hold her and love to kiss her and just love to love her!

Angels and shepherds galore!

From Christmas 2010

We had our Christmas program at church this morning. I was an angel and Theodore was a shepherd. Here we are looking for the baby Jesus. Is he over there?

From Christmas 2010

Waiting for the older kids to act out the story...

Making a joyful noise!

The best looking shepherd with a plug. (and the only one too!)

Make sure to see all of the pictures in the Christmas 2010 online album!

Theo, let's go puddle jumping!

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

Today it was raining. I thought I would show Theodore how much fun it is to go puddle jumping! (Remember the pictures of me in the puddles in San Antonio?)

Unfortunately, Theo doesn't have a rain coat (and mine doesn't fit too well) -- but he can wear my old frog galoshes! I have a new pair that fits me better now. The other problem... it started to get colder as we got dressed, and now it is sleeting. I guess that is kind of like ice droplets falling out of the sky instead of water.

And just a little while after that... it started SNOWING again! Daddy says it won't stay long though, because it is supposed to warm up again later. :(

My New Present

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

Today I wrapped up a present. I spent a lot of time cutting the paper and taping it up. Theodore even helped! Then I had to put it under the Christmas tree and let Mama and Daddy know who it was for -- I made a little present for baby Jesus!

JOY

From Emmaline Ruth

With the holidays fast approaching Mama and Daddy have had the camera out more often. Also something about not having many pictures of their favorite daughter....wait I mean newest daughter.

I wanted to share with my internet following just how much holiday cheer I have and how I spread it around. While at church Mama and Daddy rarely get to hold me and I make people smile all the time! Now if only I could get Mama to feed me and help me fall asleep I might be happier in this picture of JOY.

The Tale of the 2010 Christmas Card

It is that time of the year again. The one where we take a picture of our kids and send it out to all of our friends and family. Who wants to be in the Christmas card when you can make the kids pose for one instead?

Well, it turns out getting three kids to look at the camera simultaneously (and to look relatively happy) is a little tougher than it sounds...

So here are just a few of the shots we went through trying to get this year's picture. Don't worry, I'll let you see the final picture at the end of this post... but you'll have to go through all of the pictures first :D

From Christmas 2010

Focal length and exposure test with the more easy going kids (if a 19 month old and three year old can be "easy going"). So where's Emmaline?

From Christmas 2010

First try. Smile!

From Christmas 2010

From Christmas 2010

From Christmas 2010

Theo says, "Come on guys, let's get this over with."

From Christmas 2010

"Hey, you hit my head!"

From Christmas 2010

After a short break to calm down some nerves, let's try a different arrangement. Meredith sure loves her baby sister (and Theo his plug)!
