Half Smile

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Mama says she likes Daddy's half-smile. I thought I'd practice some. How do you think I'm doing?

6 Months

From Emmaline Ruth

How many is six?

From Emmaline Ruth

Enough to love a Mama trying to make me smile.

From Emmaline Ruth

Enough to love a Daddy trying to make me look at him.

From Emmaline Ruth

One more finger than I can get in my mouth at once (I'm sure I'll prove myself wrong soon enough).

From Emmaline Ruth

Enough to pose for pictures for my Daddy.

From Emmaline Ruth

And enough to be able to put my toes in my mouth... trust me, that really is what I'm smiling at.

DRESS up

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

When Meredith asked if I wanted to get in her dress, for a second I thought she just meant playing dress up. Then I realized she wanted to put one of her dresses on me. I decided to play along. We both got on a dress and danced around the room. What fun!

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Hey, I'm not even two years old and I'm trying new things! Don't be worried!

Sweet Potatoes

From Emmaline Ruth

Finally! Mama is going to give me real food!!

From Emmaline Ruth

Hmm... not what I expected.

From Emmaline Ruth

No, Mama!

From Emmaline Ruth

I don't know what I'm supposed to do now?

From Emmaline Ruth

I sure hope Mama tries something different next time.

Even though I show interest in eating real food, these sweet potatoes just aren't what I was hoping for!

Two Miles!

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

We went on a hike today at the McNary National Wildlife Refuge not far from our house. I love hiking! I especially love when we take short breaks so I can play in the dirt.

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

I play in the dirt so I can inspect all the cool things in it. I also like collecting the rocks and sticks I find in the dirt.

Do you know how long of a hike we went for today? Two miles, and I walked it all myself (except for a short distance along a road)!

From Theodore Elial 18-24 months

Oh yeah, Meredith came too.

My Sweater

From Emmaline Ruth

I love my new sweater. I have been grabbing at it for weeks now while Mama tried to work on it. Then she stopped working on it while I was awake. I just can't understand why Mama did not want my help on it.

From Emmaline Ruth

Here is a back view up close so that you can see the spiral. Mama says the design is going to "grow" with me so that I will be able to wear it for a few years. Mama thinks that Meredith might be able to wear it right now but Mama does not want to stretch it out.
From Emmaline Ruth

Here is the whole back.

My New Big Girl Bike!

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

The other day we all took a walk along the river on the trail. I didn't really want to walk, so I convinced my Mama and Daddy to let me take my tricycle. The thing is, I've grown a lot since I used it last... and, well, let's say I'm a little big for it now.

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

So instead of riding a tricycle, I'm learning to ride my new big girl bicycle (that's one less wheel, if you didn't know)! I LOVE it! I especially love riding around in circles on the patio in my back yard or on the basketball court at our neighborhood park.

From Meredith Jane 3 Years

I can't waste any more time -- I need to work on my bike riding skills!

Sisters

From Emmaline Ruth

I love my big sister, Meredith!

From Emmaline Ruth

I love playing with her!

From Emmaline Ruth

And being taught things by her!

From Emmaline Ruth

I love that she loves me!

Jumperoo

From Emmaline Ruth

The other day my Mama put away the baby swing. I never really enjoyed it that much, so I wasn't too worried.

From Emmaline Ruth

Then she took out the jumeroo and let me explore! I like bouncing up and down -- it is so much fun!

From Emmaline Ruth

I like the jumperoo even more when Meredith comes and plays with me!

Pajama Party!

From Emmaline Ruth

Meredith wanted to watch Blue's Clues Pajama Party tonight. She had us all get into our pajamas (Mama and Daddy included). And then we cuddled up with Daddy and watched the show! Theo really did like it... he didn't pout the whole time ;)
